Mari mendaki Gunung Bintang

Gunung Bintang..where ? mesti lah di sedim..
so i wonder and now planning to go there lahhh.. gunung bintang .. cadang nak ajak sesapa sahaja mari daki bersama.. dijamin murah kerana kita hanya bayar guide sahaja tak macam syarikat a,b @ c di sedim tu...setiap peserta kena bayar RM150-300 seorang. kalau 10 orang=Rm3000!!bnyak tu...tapi kali ini dijamin biarpun 10org kurang dari RM700..maybe RM600 @ boleh jadi RM500 jer @ kurang lagi RM400 jer.. sebab apa murah.. sebab kita byar guide ajer..kenapa bayar guide ajer..pasal guide tu my friend lahhh..kalau dia berani nak caj mahal2 , biar aku yang cepuk dia...

6jun ni cuti keputeraan agung..hari sabtu..emmm... sebaiknya p hari jumaat jika dari KL dan sekitarnya.. sampai sedim malam @ pagi.. dalam awal2 pagi sabtu mula masuk utan dan seterusnya gunung lah.. sampai cek point..rehat..bermalam di situ.. sok pagi ahad terus daki naik ke puncak..lepak2,minum dulu..baru turun..isnin..aktiviti smpingan macam flying fox, tubing-pelampung tayar , mandi manda, skodeng, melawat tree top walk, melawat kampung - boleh lawat rumah bersejarah sultan badlishah , memancing @ nak thrill boleh ikut aku menembak ikan 2..kalau ada rezeki boleh skodeng...hehe..jgn lupa binocular anda !

itu semua perancangan yg dibuat utk 6,7 dan 8 jun ini tapi boleh juga diaturkan utk hari2 lain. Dan saya boleh tolong aturkan utk anda

tak nak permit? tak nak insurans..sebab leceh ? ok..boleh jer ..kita redah jer.. on ajer!

Big Big Project @ sedim

Saya baru shj sampai d Klang Valley ini dari my lovely sedim tu.. em.. ada beberapa perkara menarik tentang sedim yang sedang dibangunkan.. nanti saya masukkan antara foto yang saya ambil.. semua tu masih dalam pembinaan.. believe me.. many visitors in less time bila projek tu siap dan menjadikan sedim bertambah menjadi tumpuan!

White Water Rafting di jeram deras Sg. Sedim

Gunung yang terletak di Banjaran Bintang didaerah Kulim dan berdekatan Baling, Kedah ini semakin popular sebagai tempat kegiatan rekreasi selain jeram deras Sg. Sedim yang popular untuk White Water Rafting (WWR). Jarak keseluruhan trail pendakian adalah sejauh 14.3 KM.
Basecamp I - Kg. Sg. Sedim
Basecamp I yang terletak bersebelahan tempat WWR Sg. Sedim disediakan kemudahan tapak perkhemahan bukan sahaja untuk pengiat rekreasi WWR malah pendaki G. Bintang ramai berkhemah disini. Tapak khemah yang boleh menampung ratusan orang turut menyediakan tandas dan surau selain jeram deras Sg. Sedim yang seronok dijadikan tempat mandi-manda. Dari basecamp I pendaki akan melalui trek balak.
Tapak Lombong
Pendaki boleh tiba di sini dengan menyewa 4WD atau berjalan dari basecamp I. Hanya 10 minit dari basecamp I. Peninggalan tapak lombong bijih menjadi sejarah pernah ada kegiatan perlombongan bijih disini. Dari sini pendaki akan mendaki melalui trek downhill mtb. Masa dekat dengan acara trek ini cerah sebaliknya trek ini akan dipenuhi resam hingga ada trek hutan sebelahnya bagi mengelakkan resam yang begitu tebal.

Air Terjun di Basecamp II

Bukit Senyum
Bukit dangan trek balak yang begitu mencanak diselangi hutan belukar dan tanah gersang tanpa pokok yang melindungi dari panahan mentari. 'Senyum tak senyum' para pendaki mendaki bukit ini.
Basecamp II - Air Terjun
Terletak ditengah-tengah trail ke G. Bintang. Air Terjun yang merentangi laluan ini menjadi sumber air bekalan dan untuk kegunaan semasa berkhemah disini. Walaupun kolam air terjun ini agak kecil, kedinginan air terjun ini tetap menyegarkan.

Pendaki masih lagi melalui trek balak tinggal yang agak panjang dan bersimpang siur. Ada dua viewpoint yang menjadi antara petunjuk, mula dari viewpoint disebelah kiri dan kemudian viewpoint disebelah kanan dengan jarak 5 minit berjalan antaranya. Kemudian pendaki akan mula memasuki trek hutan. 

Bonsai Garden,

Taman Bonsai
Satu kawasan berpokok bonsai umpama sebuah taman, kawasan ini agak datar dan lapang. 

Puncak G. Bintang Kecil

G. Bintang Kecil
Anak G. Bintang dinamakan G. Bintang Kecil berada tidak berapa jauh dari Taman Bonsai. Kedudukannya bertentangan dengan G. Bintang hingga dapat dilihat beirut G.Bintang dengan binokular. Ada petunjuk arah palsu yang mengelarkan kawasan ini sebagai puncak G. Bintang. Kini papantanda yang disediakan disini dapat memberi info lokasi kepada pendaki. Trek dari sini ke Puncak G. Bintang pendaki akan melalui pokok-pokok buluh dan beberapa kubang Gajah.

Puncak ini ditanda dengan beirut, tapi tiang beirutnya telah runtuh dikatakan ditolak oleh gajah. Tapak khemah di sini boleh menampung 15-25orang. Suhu puncak boleh mencecah 15darjah celcius.

nak cerita macam mana ya.. kalau hangpa dah mai sedim ni.. rasanya tak payah nak cerita macam mana best nyer mandi kat sungai kampung aku ni

ayaq nya yang sejuk, bersih , damai dan aman keadaan sekeliling di kelilingi flora.. terletak di dalam hutan simpan.

Nak berkelah , nak tangkap ikan , nak cari udang, nak kutip batu ..err yg ni x boleh sebab kesan kepada sistem sungai...lagi ..... nak skodeng , nak bawa family , kawan2 yang mai rumah tak tau nak layan cam ne.. bawa mai mandi di sedim.

TREE TOP WALK

The frothy fast flowing rapids at Sedim River Recreation Park near Karangan, 30km from Kulim, is a great eco-tourism draw for stressed-out minds and tired bodies.Picnicking is a popular family activity here as the recreational park has basic infrastructure and facilities such as chalets, changing rooms, public toilets and food stalls. Adventerous visitors can test their endurance by taking on the rapids with rafting, kayaking or canoeing while the less daring can opt for soft adventure activities like bird watching.Strolling along the world's longest 925m long “Tree Top Walk” which is further into the park's forest.The canopy walk promises visitors a breathtaking aerial view of the rapids, some 50m below. During the walk amid the tree tops, lucky visitors may get to see various species of colourful small birds while enjoying the sounds of gushing rapids and jungle creatures. Other activities at the park include jungle trekking as there are a few jungle trails suitable for trekking.These trails lead to nearby peaks such as Gunung Inas, Gunung Bintang Utara, Gunung Bintang and Banjaran Bintang.

The following are some points to remember:

• Bring a change of clothes. A warm-up jacket is also a good idea. Also Towel, Shoes, Slippers Sunblock, Insect repellent, Personal toiletries, and Waterproof camera.

• Wear well-fitting shoes or diving booties.

• Jewellery which cannot be secured firmly should not be worn while rafting.

• Those wearing glasses are reminded to use an elastic sports holder to anchor their spectacles.

• Contact lens users are advised to wear spectacles instead, in order to cut down the risk of their lenses getting contaminated by river water.

This is a popular spot for white water rafting in Kulim. Consider to be equivalent to Kuala Selangor's white water.

Sungai Sedim has a 15 km stretch that has a fast flowing waters and rapids which are excellent for white water sports activities.

Kayaking, camping and just relax to absorb the beauty of its flora and fauna is recommended but visitors are cautioned against swimming because of the strong water current.

There are a few jungle tracks suitable for jungle tracking that leads to nearby peaks such as Gunung Inas (1,454 m a.s.l.), Gunung Bintang Utara (1,835 m a.s.l.), Gunung Bintang (1,862 m a.s.l.) and Banjaran Bintang (1,699 m a.s.l.)

A wide variety of flora and fauna of lowland dipterocarp forest such as meranti seraya meranti tembaga, meranti melantai and non-dipterocarp species such as kulim, terap keledang and bintangor are found here.

The Sedim River has 24 challenging rapids along the river namely the Salak Drop, Triple Rapid, Kasai Drop, Wall Drop, Lower Head Dam, Kawah Rapid, Jelutong Rapid, Rodeo Rapid, Slip Lip Rapid and Cyclone Hole.

Introduction to Sungai Sedim

Sungai Sedim is a recreational forest about 30 km northeast of Kulim. The area is being developed into an extreme sports recreational centre with sporting activities such as whitewater rafting, kayaking, mountain bike, camping and tubing. Nature lovers and photography enthusiasts to Sungai Sedim will delight in the flora of the rainforest. A canopy walk has recently been constructed to offer visitors the opportunity to get closer to the trees.

Today I will take you on a walking exploration to simply appreciate the beauty of this place.

If you have not been to Sungai Sedim, it isn't very easy to locate. You need some patience to negotiate through long country paths, through rubber and fruit plantations before arriving there.For people who come to seek the solitude and be close to nature, Sungai Sedim is a good place to sit and simply enjoy the cold running water over your feet.

Getting to Sungai Sedim

Sungai Sedim is located off Kulim, in South Kedah.It's 30km from the town of Kulim. To reach it from Penang, take the Butterworth-Kulim Highway till the end, and look for the roadsign pointing to Hutan Rekreasi Sungai Sedim. For a long while you will pass through fruit plantation, through a very narrow country road before you finally arrive at the recreational area. If you get lost, dont worry because a lot of people know this place. Just Stop and Ask

HOW TO GET TO THE TREE TOP WALK SUNGAI SEDIM 30 minutes drive from Kulim Town; 1 ½ hours drive from Penang/ Penang International Airport via Penang Bridge > Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE) > Kulim Hi-Tech Park > Karangan > Sedim; 3 hours drive from Alor Setar; 5 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur via PLUS Highway> Exit Bandar Baharu Toll > Serdang > Kulim Hi-Tech Park > Karangan > Sedim OR; 5 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur via PLUS Highway > Exit Juru Toll > Butterworth-Kulim Expressway (BKE) > Kulim Hi-Tech Park > Karangan > Sedim.
